3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Trooper’s Alley IPA pours a medium copper with a small head of white bubbles that leaves a nice lace. Nose is spruce hops with a hint of citrus. Taste is crisp hop happiness with a nice tantalizing orange zest kiss. Body is fizzy but not overpoweringly so.
Tap at Damascus Old Mill. Pours hazy orange amber with a small off-white head. Citrus (predom orange), extra pine, some late light caramel sweetness. Medium bodied, bitter orange finish. Note bad, and a good choice after riding down the mountain. Braudog (6852) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUN 6, 2017
Can. Meaty pour, a poofy orange-bronze with a pillowy top. This has a funky tilt, ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - OCT 11, 2015
with a bit of a yeasty character. A bit mushy, perhaps, but this is a solid outdoorsy hoppy beer. Like hop juice. (#6644, 6/6/2017)
Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. Great hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is a real good blend of citrus, hops and pine. The flavor is full of hops and citrus with a hint of malt, very nice. This is a medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. A real good IPA, highly recommended. haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - SEP 12, 2015
Can. Pours a clear copper color with a nice off white head. Solid, citrusy aroma with smooth hoppy notes. Strong, hoppy presence with a dry finish. Some light citrus notes. Pretty solid brew. Itzjerm (3134) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Can. Hoppy and bitter prominent. Seems thick on the tongue. Not sweet just a harsh bitterness. Nice lasting head. Not horrible but not balanced.

Bottle @ 3N tasting. Good, slightly hazy. Small head. Nose is a huge diacetyl bomb. Gross buttered popcorn. Similar flavor. Just unbearably buttery and unpleasant. Not worth further investigation. nimbleprop (8808) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 1, 2015
12oz can pours a hazy gold with some creamy, white head. Nose is a bit messy, sort of muddled citrus peel, some herbs, some soap, a bit of malt. Flavor is the same, key lime, lemon, white grapefruit, soap. Grating finish. Dial the IBUs back and you might have something. Travlr (26246) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 29, 2014
Draft. Clear deep amber color, small off white head. Aroma of earthy pine forests. Taste has earthy citrus, pine resin. Balanced and tasty. BadAprilia1000 (435) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 26, 2014
Pours a hazy golden color with an average head at best. Aroma is creamy, hops, pine, grapefruit, and for not having a high OG it has a slightly boozy warm finish. Taste is grapefruit, pineapple, pine, cream, honey, vanilla. Great mouthfeel and balance, moves from fruity and sweet at the beginning to bitter hops and pine in the middle, then finishes with a malty note to boot. Great beer, definitely my favorite from one of my local favorites. moomilkparty (13) - - SEP 15, 2014
Nose is big on fruits, meh head and just slightly cloudy copper look. Head a little thin. Huge hop flavor, got a lot of bitter aftertaste, but ends up on a sweet note. Good.
