Eww - cheesy lactic aroma. Woh, cottage cheese taste too. Pleasant malty beer hiding behind this trying to get out. Finish has nicely earthy hops - such a shame - will rerate in Norwich hopefully. Ooops, failed.
A mid orange brown coloured beer with a weak white head. The aroma is light and hoppy with a background fruitiness. Medium dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a mild hop bitterness, some pine and grassy elements. This is then followed by a more sweeter flavour, smooth caramel malt plus a sweet fruitiness, like candied peel. There is a hint of sweet vanilla spice in the background. The finish is bitter but smooth. Cask @ The Limes, Fakenham. ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2012
Noticeably strong ale with a hop base. Has a nice finish that feels good in the palate. tombyars (1766) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2012
Tried this golden ale in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in April 2011. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Poor lacing throughout and a short aroma of puff candy and marmalade. Pale malt base gives a strong fruit note of sweet juicy tangerines. A sugar puff cereal note is rather strong in the short aftertaste with a slight hint of lager hop resins. Sweetness returns in the form of golden syrup flavours in the warming finish. An enjoyable summer session golden ale and recommended. justm (165) - Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2012
Bottle. Pours a pale yellow (ok it’s gold) with a fuffy white head which thins quickly to bubbles on the surface of the beer. Aroma is lime cordial and malt, quite sweet, honelylike. Quite thin and a little fizzy on the palate. An initial cream soda taste has a slight lime undercurrent with a dry haylike aftertaste.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, sweet malt, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
