Light smoke. Good balance like backwards biking. Pours golden brown with good head and lacing. Smoke and not much else. Tap at Savor. Tmoney99 (15032) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 5, 2017
Draft. Poured clear dark brown with an average brown frothy head that was mostly lasting with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy smoke malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet smoked flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Complex good beer.

Appearance: dark brown. Thin layer of tan bubbles beastiefan2k (4115) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - DEC 6, 2016
Nose: definite smoked malt with small amount of bittersweet
Taste: Smoky and malty. Peaty. Unctuous.
Body: Medium, smooth.
Parting thoughts: Oily and smoky gave me an impression of smoked salmon. Not a taste, more a mental connection. That aside, I liked this very much
Growler from beerbeggar. Completely clear pale straw color. Clean, clear smoke. Very clean white cracker maltiness. Flavor is less smokey, more mineral lager with a seltzer like mouthfeel. Just a hint of sweet smoke at the end. Short aftertaste. Clareeses (175) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 29, 2016
Woody Smoke aroma, clear straw yellow, astringent initially but finishes smooth and savory. Not my favorite flavor profile - a little too savory and reminiscent of BBQ - but certainly an interesting beer to taste. FROTHINGSLOSH (8164) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2016
Sampled on draft this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a large fluffy white head that lingered and left very good lacing. The aroma was strong bacon and smoke. The flavor was strong bacon and smoke followed by wood and an underlying yeasty not. Very long smoky finish. Medium body. Ok. DiarmaidBHK (5947) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2016
Sampler at brewpub. Pours dark brown with a thin khaki head. Huge smoky malt notes on the nose. It really opens up once it warms. Lovely finish. Nice example of style.
