11/VIII/2012 - 50cl bottle @ RBBSG - BB: n/a - (2012-878) Thanks to Thirstybird for sharing the bottle!Martinus (4741) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - AUG 22, 2012
Clear pale yellow beer, small aery white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of apples, little sour, little sugary. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of apples again, bit sourish, somewhat sugary. Aftertaste: more apples. Very weird beer... Not as disgusting as the Kindl anyway, but not my favourite beer either. Of course, maybe it’s not fair to judge between all the other top beers we had.
Light hazy, pale yellow colour, small white head. Quite sour aroma, malts, yoghurt, cider, light lambic characteristics. Quite tart flavour, fresh, acidic, malts and quite fruity. Fresh sour fruity finish.

Bottle @ RBBSG, courtesy of Thirstybird. Hazy white yellow coloured beer with a small white head and no carbonation. Very special aroma, hints of orange zest, yeast and herbs. Medium to full palate. Finish is fruity citrus hinted with a slightly herby bitter sweet balance. Ok.

thx. to Rian // Thirstybird // 50 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG 2012 // finally a Berliner Weisse // clear yellow apple juice with a small white head // nose is full of apples, lightly sour, some hay // taste is light sour apples, quite a bit cider-like, mellow, touch farm like, some jonagold, light sour tang, minor lemon juice, touch wheat // light, very easy to drink, easy carb, // apparently the only remaining example of a light berliner weisse // it is weirdly close to cider ganache (6089) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Here we have the world’s last remaining commercial Lichtenhainer (should we just call it a Wöllnitzer at this point?), and in brief, it’s a mild Berliner Weisse. Tap in Wöllnitz at the Talschänke after a bit of a trek on a warm summer day. Hazy bright banana-yellow with a rocky bright white head. Lightly sour, wheaten nose, taste is similar, light and wheaty with a touch of spice and some light apple juice. The sourness is subtle to the point that many laymen would not mention unless prompted. Medium body. Not out-of-this world, but clean and super, super refreshing (tasted like 2.5-3%, though the bottles for takeaway had it at 4% even). After a while, really started to pick out the lemon and black currant notes, clear as Skittles day. Solid. sebletitje (10502) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2012

Benzai (16933) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 11, 2012
Sampled at RBBSG. Clear yellow to golden color, small white lacing on top. Smells like feet, sweaty, not nice. Taste is mainly green apple, resembles a cider. Low body, low carbo. yespr (48968) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2012
50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, light estery. Sweet, light citric. Estery fruity finish.
