Yellow-green colour. Fresh tart aroma and some celery nose. Light body. Quite effervescent, again with celery notes and a clean lactic tartness. Fresh and dry, a tasty example. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 23, 2009
(50cl bottle) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, barnyard, horse blanket, and earthiness. Flavor of tart lemon, funky brett, and some vinegar. Very refreshing summer beer. Excellent! BeerBaboon (2095) - FINLAND - JAN 23, 2011
Edullinen pullo Bierkompassista. Ensimmäinen tämän oluttyylin olut minulle. Kaadettuna pitkään Franziskaner lasiin olut on keltainen ja samea. Wöllnitzer on hedelmäinen, kirpeä ja hapan olut. Mielestäni tämä muistuttaa paljon lambic-tyyliä. Pidin tästä. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 16, 2012
A fitting rating #3500. I’ve wanted to try this forever. The pour is a pale yellow color with a small white head. The nose is lemon and lemon zest with a mild sweetness and just a hint of smoke. The flavor is somewhat light, but still has a lot going on. Good tartness and lactic acidity as you would expect with a very subtle smoke flavor. Plenty of wheat and bread notes give it a mild sweetness. Light bodied with medium to high carbonation. Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - AUG 22, 2012
Light hazy, pale yellow colour, small white head. Quite sour aroma, malts, yoghurt, cider, light lambic characteristics. Quite tart flavour, fresh, acidic, malts and quite fruity. Fresh sour fruity finish.

Bottle, thanks to Roman. It pours hazy straw yellow with a small fizzy white head. The nose is dough, lemon juice, musty, farmyard, vinegar, sour yoghurt, lightly smoked cheese, caramelised banana and a touch of underlying sweetness. The taste is sour lemon, sherbet, tart green apple, moderate acidity, citric, cheap white wine, lactic acid, yoghurt and pickled onion monster munch with a dry finish. Light body and high, prickly carbonation. A very interesting beverage indeed. Very refreshing and enjoyable. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 14, 2013

Aroma: lactobacillus, very weak smoked notes, sour.
Appearance: hazy straw color, nice white head.
Taste: smoked notes (like bonfire), sourness, cloves, thin malty backbone.
Palate: low body and high carbonation, smoked finish.
Overall: Probably the last traditional lichtenhainer. Really good stuff. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 13, 2009
