(bottle) clear amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of oxidized beef and corn on the cob, rather metallic, with a light touch of chlorine and bread dough. flavour is mostly grainy pale malts and caramel, also slightly metallic, with a hint of herbal hops in the semi-dry ethanolic finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

WillemsUrenkel (2015) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAR 17, 2017
0,33 l bottle. Thanks to my son Nils. Clear dark golden in the glass, more than one finger white head. Malt and straw on the nose. Taste has some malt, dry, straw bitterness. Hints of citrus in the background and again dusty straw bitterness with some caramell elements. Unbalanced in my opinion. .

I’m definitely missing the typical maltiness this beer style usually brings to the table. It’s rather flat; some biscuity graininess, hints of caramel and maybe some nut brittle and very mild roasty flavors. Finish is slightly metallic, with only some timid traces of bitterness. Far from exciting.
