A very dark color for lager. Not too much flavor with this one. Not bad though.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Dark amber brew with pale off white head, very good head retention. Aroma of toast, hints of teaberry and grass. Taste is sweet roasted malt and toast at the start finishing with more toast, teaberry, too little bitter and too much sweet. Ponderous, too sweet, and not all that tasty.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head that fades fast but leaves some lacing. Aroma is ok, smells like a macro beer with just a hint of roast and smoke. Taste has some roast flavor but not much. Kinda watery and thin. Easy to drink but not enough flavor to make me go back.

Clear mahogany color. Tart but not bittter. Good flavor for a lager. Not too complex though. Some great roasted malt aftertastes. As someone else wrote: "Most of the flavor of a porter, but without the heaviness and a lot less bitter." Also a lil java flavor.

Dark with a very clean appearance. Holds a subtle coffee flavor and goes down smoother than a cup of java.

Poured dark and bubbly. This is my first brew from Wolverine and I’ve never been there despite living right in town. It smelled a subtle mix of grains with no hop. The flavor was a pretty standard lager but with more body. I’m not usually a lager guy (aside from mexican), but this was decent.

What a fantastic concept. This is a dark LAGER. Most of the flavor of a porter, but without the heaviness and a lot less bitter. I like porters, but sometimes you have to have a change. I will be buying more of this beer.

12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker showing a ruby highlighted dark brown, with an average, bubbles & cream, light tan head that slowly diminished to a ring & film, and produced some wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was light grain, with a touch of roastiness and earthiness. The flavor was similar, with low hop bitterness, a medium body, and soft carbonation. Nothing that stood out in character, yet not thin or watery. Decently sessionable.

Pours a dark brown with a low bubbly, off-white head. Aroma has a great roasted malt presence with some mild nutty notes and light caramel touch at the end of the nose. Flavor has a solid nutty kick with a good dose of toasted flavors in the middle and some light chocolate malt notes very late in the flavor. Palate is light and bubbly. Overall a very good brew. Lots of taste, well balanced and a good crisp, bubbly feeling as its going down. Wish it were distributed around my neck of the woods.
