COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Admittedly still a work in progress for Head Brewer Oliver Roberts and team, this very rich and malty lager is brewed to have all the hefty character of a German dopplebock but with a lower alcohol content.

An alright beer that doesn’t taste like much. I’m not really sure what this tastes like. Maybe a lightly carbonated malty lager. It’s a decent beer but I wouldn’t buy a 6 pack. Unless it was between this and bud lite.

Sample draft at the brewery. Dark blood red pour with almost no head. Aromas are black cherries, toffee, caramel, cocoa, and toasted dark bread. Tastes like black cherries and alcohol. Some light cocoa, caramel, and toast make it through. Tastes almost like a cherry liqueur and it’s sorta medicinal too. Really good aroma but the taste was a let down.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear brown with an amber hue and a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has note of breads and fresh grain with a hint of chocolate. Flavor has notes of dark grains and sweet chocolate with a hint of backing roast and toffee.
