Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth but has low carbonation. Tangy dark malts, tangy dark fruits, ripe fruits and a whisper of citrus. Light semi dry finish. Okay.

Rasmus40 (21977) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2017
Cask @ Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Hazy very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 160217

Cask (handpump) at the Three Guineas, Reading, 30 April 2009. Dark ruby colour. Loose, but persistent, off-white head. Light fruity aroma with some chocolate malt accents. Slightly woody, with strong berry fruit notes, in the flavour. Rather dry mouthfeel with a quite powerful herbal, angostura-like bitterness. Mouthfeel is little thin. Unusual and more like an old ale than a mild.

saxo (19522) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2017
Cask @ Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, toasted malt, chocolate and hops. Nice bitter finish.

Cask gravity at Pembury Tavern. Very dark brown/ruby with lasting beige head. Very tasty mild, bit of almost whiskyish malt. Bit nutty and good roasted flavours. Actually got a bit of grapefruit hop. Good mild.

Cask Conditioned at Harbury Beer Festival ’05. Black beer with a bubbly malt head. Highly flavoured mild with a roasted chocolate base. Thin and drinkable with a late hop finish. Moorish and very good for the style.

Rune (13506) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2017
By gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Near black in the glass. Missing head. Dark malty aroma, hints of liquorice. Slightly roasted dark malts, some liquorice and hint of dark fruits. Mild dark malty end. Decent mild. (17.02.2017).

Camons (13281) - Hasselager, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2017

leaparsons (10764) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2005
Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Vert dark red/brown with a cream head. Aromas are earthy and light roast malts, slightly sweet with berries. Quite hoppy. Flavours are dry, light roast malts with chocolate, spices and coffee bitterness. Hoppy for a mild with a gentle sparkle. Pretty good.
