3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield on 13th February 2015. Crystal clear gold with white diminishing foam ring and initial lacing. Richly hoppy aroma with yeasty notes - cheese. Citric hops and fruitiness in-mouth. Very fruity finish with plenty of hops. Light, smooth mouthfeel, and light body for strength.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at The Anchor, Birmingham. Poured a clear amber with a big frothy head. The aroma is weak but with fruity notes. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with some malt and what appears to be aniseed! The first mouthful was a bit of a shock and I was wondering how I was going to finish this, but it slowly grew on me. It’s an acquired taste though and this beer won’t be for everyone. Tastes a little like a home brew.
