COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Imperial stout aged on oak chips with single malt whisky Laphroaig.

Draught at BCD’17. Opaque deep brown to black. Tan head. Nose: roast, smoke, whisky, minor oak. Medium body. Malty taste. Roasty. Smoky. Not much wood. Light bitterness.

23-04-2017; draft; Little Craft Bar, Moscow, Russia. The beer looks lovely. The color of the beer is a nice dark ruby red. A touch lighter than most stouts. Ive finally found out what the abbreviation RIS means: Russian Imperial Stout. Quite logical, but good to know when you’re going to Russia, because they use it nearly everywhere. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of soft brown foam. Lovely. The smell is nice. It is a real barrel aged stout. Nice sour aroma of whisky barrel, nice chocolate coffee and liquorice touches. The oakwood smell is strong and covers most roasted barley aromas. The taste contains more malts. I taste lovely toasted barley chocolate and nice coffee. There is a lso a nice oaky sour whisky barrel taste. Lovely flavour, good whisky barrel. The palate is good. Full body, smooth creamy texture and a nice low carbonation. The finish is lovely and contains delicious oakwood aromas. Tasty shit.

the aroma of caramel and roasted malt with hints of oak, whiskey, toffee and burht wood... the taste is caramel and toasty with notes of black chocolate, burnt wood, whiskey, toffee and coconut... sweet, dry and spicy aftertaste...

500ml bottle f thanks ElviraS!
Smells of burnt rubber. Tastes of burnt rubber and plastic. Dirty wax crayons too, that’s an odd image I can’t really explain. Sweet slickness in the palate. Basically black, brief head. Finish a little woody, and with a gentle islay hint, but burnt rubber is back. The whole thing isn’t working at all for me, sweet and condommed to death.
