At a backyard BBQ with my neighbors, they remarked on the color and I suggested that perhaps they had added Red No. 2 dye to it, such is the vibrancy of the color. The apple qualities are still a driving force, and the cherry never reaches fake-cherry levels, though there’s some tartness (not lambic-like levels, however). My wife and neighbors really liked this--very easy drinking, though I felt it was a little underwhelming. Bottle. Brigadier (3830) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - MAR 29, 2015

All things considered I did not have high expectations for this "special" Woodchuck release priced around the $5.99 point. Maybe I should have. While it is nothing special in comparison to many true craft ciders it provides a solid experience. Will I buy more? No. However if you want a cheap tick that you can share with people not into the cutting edge of craft beer there are worse options.
Aroma / Appearance - A rich red base bubbles like liquid rubies. Even the head retains a cherry color. Cherry cough drops lend it a slightly medicinal nature but this is no more tart than a run of the mill fresh British cider.
Flavor / Palate - The bubbly mouthfeel tickles like a carbonated can of Cherry 7UP. Canned cherries baked into a cooling pie center the focus on the fruit with little cider to back it up. The minimal tang adds a trace of depth but it still feels mostly pedestrian. To get a similar effect you could add a bit of alcohol to a can of Cheer-wine. If I’d paid craft prices ($10+) for this I would have been unhappy but at $5.99 a bottle it isn’t that bad.
I love this sour cider and it’s rich cherry flavor and aroma. The color is a deep clear red and the aroma is a honey cherry. Drake (14447) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 13, 2015
Bomber. Pours a clear ruby color with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of tart cherries and a hint of apple. The taste is tart cherry, cranberry, mild apple. Thin-medium bodied. brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 5, 2015
Bottle @ home. Bright Kool Aid colored pour with a few white bubbles to it. Smells like fruit punch, jello, and cherry juice box. A hint of apple and yeast. Flavor is kind of champagne-like in that it’s decently yeasty and a touch acidic. But, the sweet cherry-ish juice flavor kind of dominates. Light sourness, some fruit punch, and green apple. Would be kind of a guilty pleasure drink, I guess.

Clear dark amberish ruby with a fast dissipating head. Very subtle nose, kinda hard to smell actually, with a wee dose of cherry cough medicine. The flavor though is very nice. There’s a bit of tart, lightly sour cherry, a wee alcohol note that lends a sweet cough medicine quality (in a good way), with a bit of apple fruitiness as it warms up. The cherries still steal the show, but it’s not terribly fruity or candy-like. Just rightly balanced. BVery (11576) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 7, 2014
Bottle. Clear rich reddish pour with a small head. Tart apple and sweet/sour cherry. A bit of cranberry as well. This is yummy. BarleyandVine (56) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - NOV 19, 2014
Refreshing tart flavor and amazing aroma. The first sip bursts with sour cherries. Good carbonation. alvin8616 (3) - Kansas, USA - OCT 20, 2014 does not count
Enjoyable by all means. One reviewer already pointed this out as well but I get a cranberry type of taste also. Very clean, dry taste. Although I am not one to drink ciders regularly, I think I would if I came across more brands that tasted as refreshing as this. Worth keeping an eye for and trying. gillagorilla (31) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 19, 2014
22 oz. bottle poured into a Duvel tulip
AR: Earthy with a bit of funk, all surrounded by a mild cider smell.
AP: A nice light and clear ruby red color.
T: Cider with a nice bit of tart cherry, mostly on the finish.
P: Smooth and like juice with almost no carbonation.
O: Quite good and glad that I was able to find it. Good, especially at the price point.
