Draft - Sweet red app land some barrel notes. Clear copper with no head. Marzipan, vanilla, far sugars an apple. After a long day of drinking, just what I needed. Crisp, refreshing and flavourful.

Brown bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a slight creamy white head. Truth. Marvelous mixed aroma of cider, mild bourbon and oak. Med body. Flavor starts sweet, goes quite astringent, bounces to bourbon, then some oak pops out. Then it seems more astringent. Wow. The sweet start makes me thing of tart cherry. It is dry. Wasn’t getting smoke til I thought of it, but that’s in the mix. Simply amazing stuff.

Bottle. Poured clear dark copper color with a minimal fizzy head that diminished slowly with little lacing. Medium floral apple aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart apple flavor with a medium taqrt sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Solid drinkable refreshing beverage.

Good thing we don’t rate labels because this one is hideous. 12 ounce bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a clear amber color with a thin fizzy white head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of tart apples, vanilla and faint whisky notes. The taste is apples, bourbon, maple and wood. Medium bodied. A little on the sweet side. Despite the label its quite a nice cider.

355ml green bottle. What? A woodchuck cider that is over 5%!? Still not a dry cider sweet bourbon notes atop a medium sweet cider bill.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. Sweet apple, brandy and wood, grapes, a bit of vanilla. Medium bodied, sticky sweet, not cloying though. A nice earthy wood note, soft sweet bourbon. Spicy apple brandy on the finish, a hint of smoke. Surprisingly nice.

Sweeter bourbon and more prevalent barreling than my favorite cider, Stagger Lee. Pours the color of bourbon. Nice all around, good balance between bourbon oak and apple, whereas SL was more subtle. Warming lingering crisp sweet finish."

Sampled at the 2013 Chicago Cider Summit. Pours a deep orange amber with a white head that starts at the edges and remains. Aroma has a great combination of apple and bourbon that works nicely. Flavor flavor has a beautiful combination of bourbon and sweet apple.
