JDW, Rochester. Pale amber. Musty best bitter. Drinkable, but unremarkable. Some grubby hops over a dry, indifferent malt, finishing with a lingering dusty hop bite.

Surpisingly lighter in colour than pirates gold by same brewer. Less fizzy. Light fruit and caramel. Dry finish . Also nice for cheap price from home bargains . . Would have again and Sessionable indeed. Slightly heavier than pirates gold.

Butelka 500ml. Dosc jasna zlota barwa. Piana biala, mala, opadajaca szybko. W zapachu orzechy i slody podparte ciastkami. W smaku ciekawa goryczka o orzechowym tonie. Pijalne

Oh dear, this is more like a golden ale in appearance than a bitter. Aroma is nutty malt but rather stale. There is a slight Apple flavour overpowered by a nutty taste, which is none too pleasant. No real finish either, weak and slightly insipid. All the typical freshness and character of Cornish beer is missing here, no good Im afraid.

Bottle. Same solid sweet shortbread and cashew malt base as The Pirates lingering well after the swallow. A tang of ozone, metallic and seashore-like on the nose. Deep gold with a slender white cap throwing lace tendrils. Drinks with unsubtle cheap chocolate now I know its there. Jazzles and enrobed peanuts. Toasted. Too saline and brassy. Long aftertaste. Better once its gone. Rich Tea and cashew. Sufferable.

Bottle from a Cornish Morrisons. Golden with a white head. Not very much going on with this. Very bland. Some bitter citrus notes but little else.

Bottle on new years. Colour is greyish orange with thin white head. Aroma is sweetish nutty caramel and stale malt. Flavour is nutty stake malt and cardboard. Very dull.

A mid amber gold coloured beer with a weak white head. A strange hoppy aroma, somewhat appley, and a touch grassy, then a light malty aroma comes through. Dry and thin mouthfeel. The taste starts off ok, with a prickly hop flavour, but this soon transforms into a tart apple taste. There is a suggestion of malt towards the end, but it doesnt aid the tartness, which lingers on into the finish.

4.1% gold colour with a good head, fruity caramel aroma and taste, it was a bit flat.
