COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also Bottle Conditioned.
Originally the house beer for Limes Hotel in Fakenham.
Ingredients: Maris Otter; Crystal malt; Goldings hops.
A full-bodied pale amber beer with the rich flavour of Dundee cake. Sultana fruitiness is balanced by a hoppy bitterness, to give a full, but light feel. The finish continues to develop into a warm, mellow glow

Malt and hop aroma, clean tasting session bitter, with some sweetness on the finish

Idiosynkrasie (7735) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2017
500ml bottle [from a trade with Grumbo, thanks a lot for the ship-themed label!]. Wonderful clear, reddish, dark amber colour with average, thick, fluffy, moderately lasting minimally lacing, off-white head. Floral hoppy and mellow malty aroma, somehow inseparable honey-pollen-orange-butter-cake-christmas stollen (fruit loaf) flavours. Taste is slightly dry, floral and slightly fruity hoppy, hints of raisin and orange zest with a minimally soapy touch, candied orange zest, malty basis with minimal residual sweetness, hints of panettone, stollen or the like (I never had Dundee cake.as possibility of comparison). Paradigmatic for the possible richness of a Bitter.

radassace (388) - SCOTLAND - AUG 2, 2017
500ml bottle from M&S. Pours amber with a fluffy tan head. Aromas of caramel, dried fruit, fruit cake and citrus rind. Quite a rich taste and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Taste is caramel, sultana cake, toast, earthy and hoppy in the finish. Decent beer, but not a beer I’d want to desperately have again.

2016 catch up - Bottle at home after it was doscovered going cheap at M&S. A reasonable bitter. Nothing spectacular, but a very good pint for £1.25.

martpez (266) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 24, 2017
UPDATED: APR 12, 2017 Sharp dry hops with a metalic taste lovely head and dry fruit stickyness. Its okay but not a huge fan. Its lifted by a lovely silky texture the sprt that is rarely found in a 4.5% beer. On gravity: this is a different beast. Heavy toffee notes with a a dry finish. Lovely kept

Clear deep golden color with a fine off white head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Caramel malty, herbal and mild fruity flavor. Decent session able bitter.
