Originally the house beer for Limes Hotel in Fakenham.
Ingredients: Maris Otter; Crystal malt; Goldings hops.
A full-bodied pale amber beer with the rich flavour of Dundee cake. Sultana fruitiness is balanced by a hoppy bitterness, to give a full, but light feel. The finish continues to develop into a warm, mellow glow

Bottle 50cl.
Clear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, apple, chlorine. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081003]

50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours cloudy to hazy orange with a fully gone head. Mild brett-ish and dry aroma. Light fruity and mild floral spiced flavour. Lingering fruity and mild bitter finish.

The aroma is very fresh hoppy on a malty and yeasty background. The color is a clear orange and it has a beutiful lasting white head. The flavor is also very fresh with on a sweet background it contains strong notes of hops, both aroma and bitter, fruit (oranges), oil, and grass. Before it ends on a great bitterness that leaves a hoppy dryness on the tongue. A great bitter - and mine was even bottle conditioned.

Bottled (from Beers Of Europe). Golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is tropical fruits, some mild apples, and mild caramel. Flavour is caramel, herbs and some mild dry grassy notes as well.

Cask at JDW edinburgh ... Amber ... light sweet fruity hop ... buiscuity with a slight grapefruit hop linger .

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat. Stockholm, Sweden.

Amber coloured with flowery aroma. Light bodied, and rather sweet and a tad buttery. Mild with well rounded mouthfeel and low bitterness. Not bad, but doesn't live up to my high expectations of Woodforde's ales.

Papsoe (25055) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Slightly hazy golden with a rough, white head. Chemical diacetyl aroma. Medium body, some fruit and an acidic and astringent finish. Clearly infected. 031008

Bottle from the M&S at Waterloo station near platforms 16-19 to be fucking specific, drank on the train home from a paper cup and labelled as M&S Norfolk Bitter as you’d expect, cheers to JF 12/11/13.
Chestnur brown with a moderate beige head.
Nose is toffee, dark fruit, cake mix, prunes, brown sugar.
Taste comprises dark malt, sweet brown bread dough, dates, toffee.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finale with sweet and bitter tones.
Decent enough bitter.
