Cask Half Pint – JDW Fest Autumn 2012 - Copper-Gold in colour. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Fruity; light citrusy fruity. Hoppy; light hop bitterness. Sweet malty throughout. Easy drinking. (2012-11-03) Beese (3210) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2014
Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 8 Nov 2012. Poured a slightly hazy copper, with a dense white head. Aroma of flat malt, caramel and light tropical fruits. Fairly lacking in flavour; a little grassy hop, toffee and toasted malt. Finish was funky, with cooked fruit and mild acidity. Not in great condition. Cask at the Philharmonic, Liverpool. Copper and clear with a thin loose beige head. Very muted aroma of malt, raisins, biscuit. Deep fruity bitter initial taste with sweetness taking over quite quickly. Medium body. Abrupt finish. A beer that delivers well enough but doesn’t inspire. I can’t imagine wanting another one.
