Subtle golden beer - pale in colour and light on the palate with the distinctive hoppy Woodforde’s finish. Deliciously golden and refreshing.

jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 13, 2017
July 9th, 2015. Cask @ The Railway Tavern, Chelmsford. Deep gold pour with a small head. Gentle white bread. Springy fruit aromas. Some white grape and honeyed melon. Pale malt body with more spring fruits. Light grass. Soft and easy-going blonde.

DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2015
Cask, The Whiffler, Norwich, 01/09/15. A-haaaaa! Gold with a loose clasping foam. Vague jelly of tangerine citrus snout building with rubs of leaf, mint, ganja. Decent. Mellow wash of diluted mandarin, lychee overtaken by cashew soft malt. Pleasant but peters into vapidity.

jjsint (3110) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2015
Cask at the Pickerel, Cambridge. Mid-gold with a tiny whitish head. Light grapefruit, peach and toast notes. Taste is more bitter than sweet, bringing out the citrus elements. Too bitter in the finish but otherwise quite pleasant. Slightly better than your average golden beer.

500ml bottle from our kid. Pours clear golden orange, nae head. Aromas of barley orange sweets. Taste is pish, frankly. More sweeties than beer. Not my thing at all.

SilkTork (5738) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2015
July, 2014 Jubilee, Norwich. Some caramel, some hop smudge, a kiss in the direction of citric. A muddy summer drink. OK.

Fin (10542) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2015
Cask gravity at The Hub at Whittlesey, Saturday 10th January 2015 on Whittlesey Straw Bear weekend (we stopped at Peterborough Central Travelodge) Fairly run of the mill golden. This lacks bitterness and not so hoppy. I guess that I should have known with Woodfordes not to have high hopes. Pretty boring. A5 A4 T6 P2 Ov11 2.8

3.5
SilverfoX (871) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2014
spruce, dough aromas from a pale gold body and a thin white head, quite smooth and bitter hops in the mouth refreshing aftertaste (ive just had a kebab so it was mightily needed) not bad but bland.

2.9
BlackHaddock (7346) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2014
Couple of pints or so from a Polly Pin at a party on 7th June 2014, some 6 miles from the brewery. Light golden with a wisp and collar. Pleasant enough blend, with the malts just about winning in both the aroma and taste stakes. Mildly bitter finish, ideal session garden ale on a warm Norfolk day.

3.1
Grumbo (2951) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2013
Cask handpull at the Woolpack, Debenham (before seeing excellent The Floe in concernt). Light amber colour, with a very small, soon dissipating, white head. Citrus honey aroma. Medium body, with soft carbonation.
