2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fruity verging on being a little bit tart. Not much character and slightly weak palate but perfectly acceptable session beer.
Clear copper color with small white foam. Aromas, carame malts, light herbal hops with notes of honey (reminds of good lager). Palate, light body, thin texture, rather flat and dry finish. Taste, sweet-ish and bit dry of grassy/herbal hops, with touch of honey? Overall, plain simple and rather boring. Towey1989 (2828) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2017
Cask at The Reginald Mitchell, Hanley (JDW) A clear pale amber colour with a frothy off white head. Aroma of biscuity malts, fruit esters, some apple, slight caramel and subtle spicy, earthy hops. Taste of biscuity malts, caramel, fruit, some apple, a hint of orange and slight spicy, earthy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, slightly fruity, spicy, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. A quintessential British bitter, a pale malt base, some fruit and a dry, hoppy finish. Not in the best condition but otherwise decent. mr_h (5535) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JAN 30, 2017

Clear amber bitter, lively with a thick white head. Not much by way of aroma, good or bad. Just a light bitterness. Flavour has a bit of light malt, apple, some bitter hop. Quite a clean aftertaste. A bit of fruity hop. Nothing special but a crisp, refreshing bitter.

Pale pour, not much on the nose. Perhaps a dud bottle but overwhelming carbonation leading to an odd mouth feel. Taste is bitter but weak. Perhaps better on a baking hot day. Grumbo (2948) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2016
From cask at the Old Mariner, Woodbridge. Pours golden with a lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of light hop, floral and fruity notes. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, slight sticky texture. A nice session bitter, especially served straight from cask. Cimbasso (892) - - JUL 23, 2016
Sampled on draught at The Mitre in Hatton Garden, London. A pleasant fairly standard bitter, with some caramel in the malt taste and earthy English hops. Some grassiness making for a refreshing and easy-drinking pint. Vladivostok (485) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2016
Draught. Pale amber with a pleasant aroma of new mown hay. A very typical bitter which in all fairness could be one of a thousand ’ordinaries’. martpez (219) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2017 Woodfords Wherry is a decent session bitter. Unfortunately its often badly kept. Here at the murderers it was well kept though. Nice sharp bitter ale. Unfortunately some of the malts show through at the end and not in a good way!
