2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fruity verging on being a little bit tart. Not much character and slightly weak palate but perfectly acceptable session beer.
From cask at The Refinery, Manchester, 21.01.18. Served too cold. Slightly hazy golden. Off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of grains, pale malt, mash, yeast and harsh bitterness. Dbcwi88 (97) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2017

Bottle from M&S, Metrocentre, Gateshead. Cloudy amber coloured with a thin white head. It has a malty, fruity and peppery hop flavour followed by a warming, smooth dried fruit and earthy finish. Good. Davros IX (577) - Hertford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2017
Bottle at home. It poured well, with a good head. There was no real nose and the taste was some malt, bitter hops and an inoffensive mouthfeel. It was ok, but there was not much going on at all. Dare I say a bit bland? AndrewC (379) - Canterbury, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2017
Bottle. I used to love this on cask 20 years ago. The first few sips took me right back to the good old days. However after a while it just became a bit bland. Sorry old friend.

From cask. A fairly average bitter, quite light malts and a fairly clean bitter aftertaste. Just not my thing, I wish I didn't keep get drawn into being persuaded to try these types of beers

Cask. Amber gold with a steady white head. Nose is burnt sugar puffs and struck matches. More sulphur tastes in the mouth, like a smouldering fire. A little honeycomb and lemon. Like a little tasty firework. lokis333 (619) - Biržai, LITHUANIA - APR 30, 2017
Clear copper color with small white foam. Aromas, carame malts, light herbal hops with notes of honey (reminds of good lager). Palate, light body, thin texture, rather flat and dry finish. Taste, sweet-ish and bit dry of grassy/herbal hops, with touch of honey? Overall, plain simple and rather boring. Towey1989 (3437) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2017
Cask at The Reginald Mitchell, Hanley (JDW) A clear pale amber colour with a frothy off white head. Aroma of biscuity malts, fruit esters, some apple, slight caramel and subtle spicy, earthy hops. Taste of biscuity malts, caramel, fruit, some apple, a hint of orange and slight spicy, earthy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, slightly fruity, spicy, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. A quintessential British bitter, a pale malt base, some fruit and a dry, hoppy finish. Not in the best condition but otherwise decent. mr_h (6069) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JAN 30, 2017
