This BOLD flavored, extremely well balanced India Pale Ale is defined by premium hops and a fine selection of varying malts. At 8 1/2% by volume and brewed with three varieties of hops, Woodstock IPA TM is the new Imperial style ale with plenty of bite to match its bark!

Bottle. Orangy clear pour with a decent head. Big citrus grapefruit aroma. Fairly hoppy flavor, with some toasty semi-sweet malts. Not quite enough malt or body for an IIPA for me. Decent.

Bottle. Appearance is gold with a small head. Aroma is not hoppy, more grain. Taste is a little hoppy, but not really for this style. Not at all a IIPA. Finish is not very bitter. Body is a little thin. Again, not sure how this is an IIPA. Not a good beer beyond that either.

beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - APR 25, 2008
12 oz. bottle courtesy of at rade with TheBeerCellar. Pours a clear coppery orange with a thin yellow-white head that faded to an uneven film after the first sip and left a sheet of lace after each sip. Pleasant aroma of caramel and some citrus. The hops aroma was a bit light for an IPA. The flavor was caramel up front with some hops kicking in towards the finish. Smooth, almost creamy on the palate. If the label did not say it, I would not have taken this for an IPA, however, that in no way diminshed my enjoyment of this beer.

kyzr (1570) - Montana, USA - FEB 16, 2008
Bottle thanks to TheBeerCellar. Pours amber with good sized off-white head. Nose of pine and hops with a lot of malt. Flavor is rather malty, sweet and some roast. Good amount of alcohol up front with a decent bite of hops that leads to a dry finish.

Not very inspired. Some hops and medium sweet malt. Lightly bitter, but not enough flavor or palate for a beer of the style. Gold color.

Skyview (6076) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2008
Sampled at MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering in Maplewood, MN and supplied by tyleranderso. From a 12-oz bottle pours a clear golden orange brew with a fast dissipating white head that leaves behind a thin ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus and grapefruit zest, and a touch of pine. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of mostly citrus zest, some light bread malt and a touch of herb spice. Finish is semi-bitter with a lingering citrus aftertaste long after the finish.

Many thanks to tytoanderso. Gold color with no head. Faint taste in of malt and hops.

JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2008
Golden-amber color. Aroma is bready, sweet and caramelish with some subtle citrus and floral hops. Flavor was of a subdued citra-floral hoppy nature with way too much sweet malts. Either way too old or not hop forward enough.

3.6
MaltOMeal (1094) - Land of Sugar, Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2007
12 oz bottle from trade with TheBeerCellar. Pours a clear orange-amber with a very thin off-white head. Some irregular lacing. Aroma was pine hops with some sweet malt. Flavor was more malt than expected with a strong hop taste. Mouthfeel was medium with some carbonation and a good bitter aftertaste. Seemed just a tad hoppier than an IPA, probably because of the added malt.

3.5
Jmichael (640) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 28, 2007
pours a clear amber gold with mild white head. fresh citrus hop aroma, citruss hoppy with sweet finish. more citrus hops and light on the bitterness. refreshing and very subtle for the ABV
