Amber with faint off-white head. Malt and grain in the aroma, hint of corn. Carbonation bites the tongue that’s followed by hop bitterness. Hint of malt body but not enough to counter the hop bite. From Beer of the month club. blutt59 (6598) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2011
bottle, thanks to cavie, amber colored pour with a pineapple and caramel aroma, flavor is piney caramel with a metallic finish roder60 (1289) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 9, 2011
Pours a clear light copper color with medium amount of foamy offwhite head. Aroma is sweet oranges dipped in dulce de leche. Flavor is a bit dry and piney off the bat, sweet caramel malt base, and an earthy bitter hop finish. Overall, pretty decent. RobertDale (6977) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JAN 7, 2011
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear reddish orange with a decent biege head. Aroma of piney hops, florals and citrus. Tastes of citrus, hops and some malt. Some bitterness. Not impressive, but OK. mountainforest (131) - Mississippi, USA - JAN 5, 2011
Hard to believe all this came from a bottle, and from a pale ale. Lots of flavor and depth and staying clear of an IPA finish. Would leave Vermont for this Brewery, only to be called back by Ben and Jerry’s and Cabot Cheese free tastings.

Thanks to Cavie for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow-orange color with a white head. The aroma is toffee and sugar, but like the Red Rack Ale I tried from this brewery, I get a lot of butter notes which are not good at all. The flavor is more of the same. The dominant flavor is a buttery sweetness. In addition to that, I get some grain, wheat and grassy notes, but the butter is so strong it completely kills the beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle from Cavie. Very clear amber pour with a small white head. Aroma is musty, old malts, and some hops. Taste is a little bitter, caramel, a little nutty, and inoffensive. bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2010
(12oz bottle, courtesy of Cavie) Pours a clear copper body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toasted grain, citrus, and spruce. Flavor of caramel malt, herbs, light orange, and grass. Cavie (4874) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 28, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear light orange color with a bubbly white head. Aroma is very hoppy upfront with hops, pine, and sweet sap. Flavor is dry and hoppy. Sweet notes and pine that have a bit of sharpness. Not bad. Sammer (1119) - Plano, Texas, USA - DEC 23, 2010
Amber pour from bottle. Aroma is a bit earthy and dull. Taste is a dash of malt, a dash of hops and not too much else. Not horrible, but not too exciting either.
