Beer of the Month club selection. Pours a dark tea color with medium thick head. Nutty, malty, subtle aroma. Very drinkable. Nice session beer
Bottle from mixed pack. Aroma and flavor are chocolate and faint roast, light toast, faint caramel, and faint woody bitterness. Medium body. snoworsummer (6285) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 28, 2017

Great beer for a relaxing day in front of the TV, watching football. Smooth, enjoyable and relaxing Ale. This is a great comfort beer. Kleg (448) - The Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2017
Draft at Woodstock Inn Brewery in North Woodstock, NH. Clear amber with a tiny white head. Fair lacing. Good and smooth. Not very flavorful but I like the flavor that's there. papat444 (136) - Carignan, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 14, 2017
Appearance: Brown (duh!) and looks a little like cola. Very thin ring of foam.
Smell: At first nothing but as it warmed a whiff of bitterness, probably hops.
Taste: Subdued, malt-like taste with a very nice moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: A strong point. Smooth with a rather low carbonation that i didn’t expect but wasn’t unpleasant.

Malt and caramel notes. Pours a rich red brown with an off-white head with retention and strong lacing. Big clean malty flavors of bread and a lingering sour finish. Nice brown ale. ben4321 (6839) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2016
Bottle, camping, 7/2/2016. Decent aroma of nutty and earthy malts. Light hops. Weird fruitiness comes through on the flavor and the brown ale flavors fall off. Way over carbonated, which hurts drinkability a lot. One bottle was more than enough. thepatrickman (1503) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2016
On draft and in bottles. This is a straightforward, no-frills, crowd-pleasing, middle-of-the-road, pretty boring Brown Ale. It’s brown, which shouldn’t really surprise anyone, and it’s sweet. It’s thin and there really isn’t any of that nutty, earthy, lightly roasted flavor that the best browns have. If this tastes like it was mainly made to fill the "slightly darker" sleeve of a brewery’s rotation, that’s because it probably was. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 15, 2016
Brown pour from 12oz bottle from Christpuncher, who drain poured his. White head. Nutty, roasty and sweet aroma. Has a fruity taste to it, weird for a brown ale. A little tart and sweet too. Not horrible, not great. Christpuncher (3215) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Drain pour. Too sweet and carbonated. Has a raspberry flavor in there with some roasted grain flavors. Pours brown with a tan head. Had out of a bottle at home.
