Two beers in one night that I could get some buttery/butterscotch flavors? Interesting. The beer itself wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great either. Mediocrity seems to be a key word for many of the beers we had that night. A butterscotch aroma and roasted malts. Cherrywood in color, clear with a nice fluffy two-finger head. Flavors were roasted malts with a spicy/hoppy 1-2 combo. I wouldn’t revisit this beer. BitchesBrew (716) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 5, 2008
[bottle] Malty aroma, with some concerning butterscotch elements. Reddish amber color, clear, with a tiny ring of bubbles. Flavors are full of malt power and some considerable bitterness, but any real unique character seems to be overpowered by the Ringwood... Not a bad beer, I personally have a hard time getting past the dominant yeast character. vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 5, 2004
Has a hazy ruby color with an off-white head and sweet malt smell. Taste is sweet/malt/spice and finishes with a hop/spice flavor. Overall one of the better beers from this brewery. ToadMan (559) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 9, 2004
Very hazy brownish orange color. Roasted malty aroma, very sweet, overpoweringly so. Hints of spices and a slight bitter finish. dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 25, 2003

Murky orange ruby brown color, sweet malt aroma that has a bit a dark fruit. Full bodied, ends sweet with a lingering aftertaste.
