Pours deep dark purple red clear with slight amount of foamy tannish head. Aroma is syrupy sweet with lots of nuttiness and dark fruits. Flavor reminds me of a dark cherry slurpee. Dark cherry sweetness dominates with lots of buttery caramel flavor. Bit of a boozy medicinal edge. Overall, just so so.

Very hazy brownish orange color. Roasted malty aroma, very sweet, overpoweringly so. Hints of spices and a slight bitter finish.

[bottle] Malty aroma, with some concerning butterscotch elements. Reddish amber color, clear, with a tiny ring of bubbles. Flavors are full of malt power and some considerable bitterness, but any real unique character seems to be overpowered by the Ringwood... Not a bad beer, I personally have a hard time getting past the dominant yeast character.
