4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Just a solid, basic, pleasurable beer. Fruity, mild hop aroma, great mouthfeel, caramel and toffee notes on the palate with a fruity yeast finish. I could drink a ton of this stuff.
Pours a light amber with lots of bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass and a thin, long-lasting white head with some lacing. This was a nitro pour, so it had the characteristic head of a beer carbonated with nitrogen. Aroma is a surprising amount of sweet fruit and some earthy hops and bread malts. The flavor loses the fruity hops and gains more bread malts, with some earthy hops. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, as you would expect from a nitro pour. This one surprised me, and if the flavor remained similar to the aroma, it could have been something special. arminjewell (9729) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, biscuit, some toffee, touch of yeast into a bit of fruit, slight grass and pine hop notes with a touch of earth. Taste was a mix of earth, spice, yeast into a bit of grain, bread, some dough with hint of caramel, finishing with some slight fruit.
