There was not much aroma, but there was good bitterness due to wet hopping. The bitterness was almost as strong as a medium to strong regular IPA, I enjoyed it. A pine hop flavor with a citrus hint. decent for a plain pale ale.

I had this on tap at the WAB...The beer pours super dark gold, hint of dark orange. Light white head, good lacing. The aroma is super light can barely get anything at all here. Light orange, sweet...The taste is horrible, its so sweet canít even have it. Its all honey and orange, like they dropped a half pound of honey in my beer. Absolutely no hops at all, very disappointing... The feel is ok,but you canít drink this. Way to sweet and boring.

Old hang out. Never really liked the beers. If I had to order something it was this. Bland pale ale. Nothing special.

draft @ brewery, Nice big white foamy head, very nice head. Picked up citrus big time, really enjoyed the citrusy smell and nice finish.

draft @ brewery. Pours a dark orange color with a big foamy white head. Nose of light hopps, some pine needles, and light citrus. Taste is lightly hoppy, some citrus notes here and there, light pine, hints of grapefruit. finishes with a slight bitterness.

amber copper, darker than i expected for a "pale" ale. lame aroma of hops--itís as if they added *just enough* so that you can sense it with your nose, and no more. palate and flavor are thin and malty, weakly bitter. this would be better off if they called it an ESB and not a pale ale.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2005 On tap: Nice piney hop aroma. Transparent amber with a white head that fades somewhat quickly. Very light caramel up front with a piney and flowery hop finish. Decent, but nothing great.

Tap. Hazy orange/brown with a moderate head that fizzled down but left tons of lacing. No aroma that I could detect (do I have a cold coming on?) I had to practically put my nose in the foam to get a hint of piney hops. Mouthfeel was a bit watery. The flavors were subdued but this is an american pale, so thats somewhat expected. Itís real drinkable, not bad, nothing to write about...wait..I just did.

Suprised by the deep copper color of this pale ale. Much darker than normal pales. Very thin head ... don't wonder if that isn't from the pour though. Plenty of hops in the nose -- citrusy Cascades and Columbus? A pleasant amount of hoppiness but balanced by a deeper than anticipated maltiness. This probably more closely resembles an English IPA. A decent brew.
