3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the Operagrillen
It pours with too much foam, and it leaves behind a strange, muddy amber-brown color and some creamy head. The aroma is pungent, British, with grassy hops, Fuggles, sweat; strong; later, it’s a bit feety. There is still a lot of carbonation; some caramel flavor, with an herbal touch (rosemary and heather); strong bitterness, providing some hop oils, hop resins and mild grassy touch; unfortunately the yeast character is too present; there is even some suspicious lingering sourness.
Messy beer, very rough, waiting to be seriously refined.
Draft. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with an off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma with weak hints of grapefruit and weak hints of yeast. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish. joergen (28102) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 22, 2012
