Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a cloudy, orangish golden color. There is a thin off white head and minimal lacing. Good nose. A bit earthy and a touch funky. Some resinous hops and tropical notes. The taste is very good. Minimal sweetness and some bitterness. Citrus, pie and faint tropical hop flavors. Good Body. Nice! DiarmaidBHK (5078) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2017
Draft at hometown brewing. Pours golden with an inch of white foam. Leaves a shitload of lacing in the glass. Nice roasted pinecone on the nose. Fairly big hop floral and piney hop flavor on the tongue. Finished clean. Hides it’s booze well. Very quaffable. sulawang (1168) - - JUN 20, 2016
4oz sampler @ VCBW 2016- Day 3. Creamy-micro smooth feel, very nice. Mellow hops, fruity toffee malt. Mango-apricot exhale, background resin. A very drinkable DIPA that isn’t too heavy or tiring on the palate. mcberko (18065) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 4, 2016
On tap at VCBW Festival 2016, pours a clear golden blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out piney hops upfront, followed by crisp crackery malt. Flavour brings out lots of piney hop oils, hop resins, and dry biscuity malt. Loads of hop oils, with a lightly sweet finish. Really nice. sample at mondial de la bière 2015 - mtl. hazy very light golden with a reviving off-white cap, minmal retention/lacing. spicy oranges - peppery clementines, C’s plenty, toasted maltiness, some crust and caramel, peppery melons, minty resin, flower cones, sulfur. light carbonation, medium body - oily; balanced grassy-spicy-piney finish. old-school-ish and far from an (h)opulence. o-k. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2015
(Mondial 2015) Pours a clear golden with a thin white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of caramel and dank hops. Taste is of caramel, fruity and moderately bitter. It is also a little boozy, sadly. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and the alcohol is a bit distracting and not hidden well-enough. Overall a fair DIPA (not sure when that bottle was opened so time might have been a factor here) but their other hoppy (and less alcoholic) offerings are better.
