Some breweries make a hoppy version of a stout, but ours is based on the IPA style through and through, with small additions of deeply caramelized and roasted malts. Hopped with Falconer’s Flight and Centennial hops and dryhopped in both the fermenter and the serving tank. Great licorice notes without the heavy roastiness of a stout.

DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Pours very dark brown/black with sticky off-white head. Roasty hoppy aromas and a big hoppy palate with more roasted nut notes and a lingering hop finish. Excellent for the style.

decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Deep brown pour with a hinto ruby. Resiny hops and some roasted malt aroma. Sweet roasty malt with resiny hops. Medium bodied and a tad fizzy. another nice beer.

Cybercat (5830) - Georgia, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Comes out of the tap a rich, warm sable with a fine-bubbled yellowish-tan head. Aroma fills the nose with roast malt, coffee and evergreen hoppy notes plus a hint of licorice. Flavor has a strong, but barely bitter, hoppy overtone, as well as coffee, roast malt and licorice notes plus woody, caramel and nutty hints. Smooth, firm texture has a good strong and persistent fizz. You’ll "never go back" to industrial swill!

jrob21 (3684) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Decently dark pour with a tan head and substantial lacing. The hops here come in a little spicey but there is a nice malt backbone to spell that a bit. A bit of citrus aroma. Clean and roasty malt finish.

deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 30, 2012
On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear very dark chocolate brown with a light brown cascading head that laces beautifully. Aroma has a nice musty pine note with a bit of grass backed by a nice roast note. Flavor is similar with musty grass and pine up front with an earthy roasted malt in the finish.
