This one is for the hopheads. Classic West Coast IPA brewed with six varieties of hops providing flavors of tangerine, mango and a hint of lemon citrus. Crystal and Munich malts provide balance for the perfect pint. Dry-hopped in the serving tank with Centennial hops. To the victor go the spoils… get your spoils today.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is hops fruity and light malty. Smooth breadish and light roasted malt base. Bitter, light grassy and vague citrusy. Crisp hoppy and toasted malty finish.

On tap @ Wrecking Bar. Wow...apparently nobody paid attention to the "pale" aspect as this is a pretty deep amber colored beer. Okay... It smells alright at least as it has some good fruity hop character and a fair bit of sticky, bitter grapefruit. However, there is the unmistakable goopy, sweet, sticky, caramel malts that I really don’t like in an IPA. Scroll past.

Draft - Grapefruit, pin and a balanced caramel. Clear cold with a decent beige head. Bitter grapefruit and resin, with a pithy bitterness throughout that finishes dry. Bitterness overwhelms.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a mostly clear amber with a medium sized white head. Bright citrus on the nose, subtle malt behind it. Medium bodied, big bold bitterness right away. Long earthy grapefruit and quinine on the finish. Very tasty.

deyholla (12038) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 4, 2012
Half pint at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has a good amount of earthy grain with quite a bitter pine and a bit of underlying grassines. Flavor begins with grassy and piney hops that are bitter in the finish with a grain backbone.

Lots of old school bittering hops vibe here. Lots of citrus peel. Soft carbonation. Orange hazy pour with great head and lacing. Bitter finish. Tap at brewpub.
