From old tasting notes. Deep reddish brown color with a beautiful creamy tan head. Complex and very sweet malt aroma. Sweet roasted malt palate is complex and intense. The foretaste is burnt caramel and dark malt. Midtaste is predominantly malty with sweet caramel notes. Finish is spicy hops. Rich and full bodied and potent. Strong yet subtle. Very well done. UPDATED: MAY 14, 2017 At Gene’s rooftop. Good. Not as copper a color as other marzens, the sweet maltiness made me think it was a heller bock at first. Mild grassy hops. Serving: Tap Koelschtrinker (22499) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - AUG 26, 2015
Herb würziger Antrunk, steigende Karamelligkeit. Süffig, spritzig, die Herbe bleibt frisch. Ein nettes nebenbei Bier. 10/9/10/9//9 geologyguy (1690) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - AUG 21, 2015

They seem to have nailed this style down pretty darn well. Almost no odor to speak of. Clear as a bell. Crisp and simple but surprisingly sweet and delicious. It makes me think of apples, fresh hay, and dewy sunrises. Quite nice.
