Tap at the Ginger Man. Pale yellow pour, little head. Vegetal in the flavor, clean, with pils malts, minor hops, and a maibock like taste — just a bit heavier in body. Aroma has veggie sugars and munich malt. kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - AUG 18, 2008
5,5 % ABV. The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts spicy, the finish is a bit metallically, hard, a little nit alcoholic. The first gulp is better than the last. RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Had this beer on 6/23/2000. Aroma is a deep roasted malt scent. Color is deep rich amber with ok carbonation and a nice head. Taste sweet, roasted and smooth. Starting with a medium body that goes down with a roasted feel. Finish is a rich sweet malt flavor backed by a mild bitterness. Overall I think its very good, it’s as rich and full body as a winter brew should be.

Bottle. Brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is spiced and malty, and the flavour is toffee, roasted and spiced. Overall a nice beer. leaparsons (10546) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2006
Bottle. Deep gold with a large rocky off-white head. Aromas are caramel malts with citrus. Some soapiness with a light floral character. Flavours are soft caramel malts. Quite smooth with light lemon and noticeable alcohol. Sugar towards the finish with earthy hops and alcohol. A bit indistinct in the middle. Bottle. Copper coloured with a slimish lumpy white head. Aroma has malts and caramel. Flavours are malt, fruit and caramel with some light hops, quite sweet, clean, crisp and drinkable. Medium to full bodied. Very nice. shrubber85 (11397) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 29, 2004
Bottle. Sweet berry aroma. Reddish tan color. Cranberry malt flavor with a slight hops bitterness to finish - nice full body. Man I really like the berry flavor in this beer - not overpowering but noticeable with every sip. A great unique festbier. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - FEB 10, 2004
Bottle pours a reddish copper color with a soapy like white head. Carbonation and lacing are minor.   Visible sediment floating in the glass.   Faint grainy/malty aroma.   Some horse blanket in there as well.   Initial taste proves malty, a bit of brown sugar, and an earthy feeling.   Finish falls flat, with perhaps a bit of a wet cardboard and grapfruit.   Not bad, but not really impressed either.
