50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a diminishing light brown head. Breadish aroma, dry. Flavour is dry breadish with a mild caramel note, yet persisting dry into the finish.

fiulijn (20492) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2011
Bottle from Markgrafen, Würzburg
Beige color; generous compact head. As often happens, there is a strong aroma of paper and cardboard, and just light roasted malt. Simple caramel and roasted malt flavo, with some residual sweetness and a milky feeling. Low bitterness. Quite poor.

Koelschtrinker (20395) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 1, 2011
Stimmig malziger Antrunk, weich.

Dark brown. Kind of thin, toasty nose. Sweetish palate, full body, and has a malta-like sweetness.

DSG (14764) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 8, 2008
(6/21/08) Draught at Thüringer Hof in Leipzig. Black yet not opaque with a medium beige head. Interesting aroma of some smoke, roasted malt, grains and faint hints of coffee. Sweet flavor of malt, caramel, coffee hints and nice roastiness. Finishes slightly drier with some burnt malt. Medium-bodied. I like this one.

imdownthepub (14547) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2014
Bottled, 500ml at Alter Kranen, Wurzburg, Bavaria. Black(ish) with cream head. This was surprisingly light on the palate, fairly thin and watery, not sure why. There is a dusty note to the roasted malts, carbonation again, some caramel then fruitiness. It’s ok.

2.8
kevnic2008 (11996) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - SEP 11, 2012
Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with notes of butter. Mostly dry taste of roasted malt and coffee
