Bottle. A deep red beer with a big beige head. The aroma and taste is light roasted, dusty, of raisins and caramel malt. Medium body with a dry finish.

Well-balanced black beer, quaffable yet has some character. Half-liter bottle pours black, mahogany highlights, decent tan head. Light, malty nose is sweet, bready, slightly roasty. Lightly sweet flavor fades into a lightly bitter, roasted taste, with pumpernickel, chocolate and fainter coffee notes. Faintly roasty aftertaste. Nice for washing down a burger. Love to try it fresh on draft some day.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 6, 2011
Bottle @ brewery tap Wurzburg. Nice brown-black but they served in a pils glass and it looks funny. Smells like a Malta. Slightly fizzy and thin. Sweet but nice.

Dark brown. Kind of thin, toasty nose. Sweetish palate, full body, and has a malta-like sweetness.

Bottle @ bar in Würzburg. Pours a dark brownish with a large, latte-colored head. Aroma is light roast, some coffee, caramel, herbal notes. Taste is lightly metallic in the beginning, light roast, some coffee, lots of light caramel notes, light butter. Grassy finish. Palate is light and refreshing.

Bottled, 500ml at Alter Kranen, Wurzburg, Bavaria. Black(ish) with cream head. This was surprisingly light on the palate, fairly thin and watery, not sure why. There is a dusty note to the roasted malts, carbonation again, some caramel then fruitiness. It’s ok.

Black/schwarz indeed, off white short lasting foam head. Smoked barley aroma, quite nice ful taste/flavor. Good beer. (Velp 201604)

Geiserich (4519) - Linz, AUSTRIA - SEP 22, 2006
Bottled: Black color, few, off-white foam. Aroma is roasty-malt with light sweet coffee notes. Flavor is sourly and salty, some grain notes. Dry in the end with some roasty notes. Astringent finish.

bottle, delivered by pivnizub! Deep brown, almost black, with a creamy beige head. Dry malty base, roasted malts, coffee, shy hints of caramel.
