On cask at Wetherspoons Real Ale Festival 2013
Full bodied flavour....Deep taste....bit light in texture but otherwise a nice pint

Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Oct 2013 during Spoons Festival - Reddish Brown in colour. Malty; grainy malts, slight toffee. Hoppy; earthy hops (tastes stewed). Fruity; slight citrus fruit. Bitter malty with earthy hop throughout. Dry throughout. Drinkable. downender (8928) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2013
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, October 2013. Amber coloured with no head. A malty beer, with toffee sweetness, a hint of C hop and moderately bitter finish. Ok. McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 25, 2013
Firm auburn with settling haze, little off white head. Dry, sandy sweet matly nose - little eggy. Initial taste is loosely bitter but mostly cheap tourist toffee - maybe drinking it in the airport doesn’t help shake this. More toffee and tea like bitter tang, bit of a cloggy finish - doesn’t finish easy. jamesie1857 (1984) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2013
Cask, Sir Walter Scott, Edinburgh Airport
Dark mahogany body with an off white head. Worn out light banana malty nose. Initial taste is metallic, clovey smashed by a rubbery mouthfeel and fudge/toffee edge. Odd breakaway in the middle, slightly spice before a clean rye-ish coppery bitterness. Finish doesn’t save things, dissolving rubber and over stewed cold tea.
Cask, Foot Of The Walk, Edinburgh - 3.1
On cask at JDW in Coalville - Deep ruby coloured, white lacing head, nose of ripe berries and a bit of citrus. Taste is a bit metallic, with a piney undertone. After that it is a rather ordinary ale.

Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 27 October. Poured a clear copper colour with a tight, thin white head. Malty aroma with hints of spice and orange peal. Flavours of dry cereal, caramel and some chalkiness. Finish is slightly astringent bitter with citrus peal and pine. Rather disappointing... Cask, handpump at JDW, Hereford, Saturday 9th November 2013. Pours chestnut brown, actually lots of ruby red glinting through, very clear, mid sized off-white head. There is a strange bitterness, bit harsh, bit of washing up liquid, bit of bubble gum, but bitterness perserveers. Its ok but I’m not a big fan. Cask @ Moon Under Water, Manchester. Darker copper with a head. Has a malty character but smooth in palate with some hops evident. madmitch76 (25809) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2013

Crosse Keys Spoons. Cask. Clear amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and dry with fine carbonation. Reasinable malt - not that sweet and carrying a bitter toffee streak. Astringent noble hop like bitterness. Not much citrus or fruity hop here. Dry crisp finish.
Cask, The Corn Exchange, Leicester. Hazy amber brown with a cream foam. Aromas are biscuit and light Weetabix with mixed spices and nutty notes. Sudsy floral aspects with black tea and light lemon. Flavours are Weetabix malts with light lemon and metallic notes. Dry black tea with low toffee and bready yeast. Fairly leafy with hints of mineral. Peppery on the palate. Not bad.
