3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Dark copper with ruby highlights. Frothy white head, which doesn’t last. Effervescence visible.
Aroma: Toasty nutty caramel, clove or cinnamom and some prune or raisin in the background.
Flavour: Not too much depth in terms of the malt profile, but some sweetness that is a little cloying. Could either do with some more roasty flavours or some more hop bitterness to balance the sweetness. Definitely hints of Christmas fruit cake or pudding.
Mouthfeel: Not as much body as I was hoping for, but I may have been expecting something more akin to a porter. finish is quick with a slight warming aftertaste (but not something that makes me want to drink a case of it!)
Overall: As a big fan of the Wychwood guys’ beer, a bit underwhelmed with this. The Hobgoblin Reserve is a better option.
Pours dark reddish brown with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is cinnamon and spice. Light to medium carbonation. Texture is light and warming and taste has prominent cinnamon, caramel, and is a little fruity. ChewyBeer (387) - SOUTH AFRICA - MAY 20, 2017
Appearance: clear ruby, copper with slight head
Aroma: light malt and spices
Palate: medium light mouthfeel. Low carbonation
Taste: sweet malt initially that makes way to cinnamon
Overall: an interesting beer but a little watery. Lacks a bit od robustness in palate and flavour Trolleo (1566) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 18, 2017
Spicy, shy cinnamon aroma, also some cloves, yeasty, honey cake, even some banana. Clear dark ruby color with small white head. Taste is cinnamon, banana and spices, moderately sweet with long spicy sweet finish. Thin body, watery, flat carbonation. Not exactly a winter warmer but quite nice. azzurro (250) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2017

Usually not a fan, but this one was quite nice. Mostly because I am really thirsty X) Some decent malty background, caramel, some bread, and
that cinnamon that you love in one sip and hate in another. Otherwise decent brew with moderate sweetness and moderate to light bitterness
with some herbal hops in finish. HopsSensei51 (1) - SWANSEA, WALES - FEB 27, 2017 does not count

Bottle from Aldi. A slightly bland Christmas ale compared to others but after a while, one gets some lively Christmas flavours coming through. stringtiff (1) - Rotherham, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2017 does not count
Bah Humbug 5% abv brew, has a toffee like flavour, deep rich red colour with the taste of Christmas cake and other tastes of Christmas. A most enjoyable ALE
