Cask at The Railway Inn, Winchester. Sharp citrus in the aroma, also malts. Light chestnut. Good frothy off-white head. Medium bitter, Malty, as per the aroma. Some citrus and spice in there. Light bodied and watery. Quite refreshing.

Cask. Aroma some fruit. Pours copper with white lace top. Tastes toasted malts with berry fruits. Hoppy finish. No great spice either on the nose or tongue. No Scrooge themed beer will thrive.

part of my 2013 backlog. Hazy amber colour, aroma has fruit. The taste has more fruit and spice. bittersweet finish.

Cask in Chatham dusty yeast aroma. Toffee and fruit cake palate. I m not a great fan of wychwood beers but the merits of cask beer make this decent. I bet this suck from a bottle

Cask @ Bankers Draft (JDW). pours a thin copper brown. Little head & carbonation. Smells of clove, cinnamon & mulberries. I was afraid from the aroma that it would be like drinking liquified potpourri - I was wrong. Sweet but balanced and very pleasant. One of the better festive ales Iíve had - on 2 January! Bah Humbug indeed!

Cask at The Anchor, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white heat and lots of broken lace. The aroma is weak malt, yeast and light citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a fruity malt spicy aniseed palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Really very drinkable and perfect for a session which is something I rarely do these days because of all this damn ticking ;-)

wheresthepath (2318) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2013
Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Deep amber with a thin white head. A fruity beer dominated by sweet cinnamon. In fact, it tastes like Hobgoblin with cinnamon syrup added. There is an earthy bitterness in the finish, but not enough to balance the sticky sweetness. Oh well, at least itís that rare thing- a UK Christmad ale that actually tastes Christmassy!

On cask at Agricultural Hotel, Penrith. Pours rub red with off white head. Light spice. Cherry, malt. Nice balance for a decent Xmas ale.
