Nice dark stout. The black malt lends a rounded coffee flavour to the ale. Simple hopping for restrained bitterness.

From the past. Poured a deep black color, topped with a decent tan head. Roasted aroma, some notes of chocolate and coffee. Roasty taste, some sweet notes and caramel, coffee and some bitterness. Very nice.

Subtle aroma. Can't see through it. Very dark black. Nice head. Very flowery taste. Mild but bitter and lingering aftertaste. Wouldn't rush back. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask @ Baum. This 4.5% version is nearly, but not black with an off-white head. It has a burnt roasted aroma and taste.

Lenusik (119) - Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2013
A brown/blackish coloured stout that looks awesome. The head was thin, tight, but disappeared quickly. The aroma was Roasted malt, some yeast, and a little coffee. The flavour profile was strong on the roasted malt, and little bit of cocoa bitterness. Not a bad beer, but not a memorable beer.
