Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch A6353 (BBF 18.JAN.18). AROMA: moderate-low bready and toasty aroma with a slight caramel-like and nutty quality. APPEARANCE: very dark Brown color with ruby highlights. almost opaque. medium light Brown head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a toasty, slight roasted, toffee-like and faintly bready. medium bitterness with a dry, roasted and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-light body with moderate carbonation. slight creamy texture. OVERALL: an average english porter.

В полне годный портер родом из Англии. Имеет четкий ржаной вкус солода. Плюс темная карамель и горький шоколад. Алкоголь не ощущается. Стоит попробовать всем любителям этого сорта пива.

21. 7. 2017, Klimno. Bottled. Not really a porter would I say. Below expectations. Murky and not defined well. Could have been better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Demens (469) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 21, 2017
0,5l bottle. Very thich black colour with big but shrinking and lasting creamy beige head. Aroma: Roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, blackcurrant, blueberry. Taste: Very thich malty start with a short sweet caracter then a light sourish grainy tone. After that a significant but pleasing bitter mouthfeel comes. Medium body with very soft carbonation. Light but pleasent bitter finish. It’s a smooth and good porter with a body and a good bitter caracter.

Hermod (8117) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JUL 12, 2017
50cl bottle, bought from SuperAlko, Tallinn. BBE 31.8.2017. Poured pitch black in color with a two finger dense off white head. Mild butter at first, milk chocolate and mild roastedness in aroma. Some smoked wood in the back. Smooth mouthfeel. Body is quite light, but does have decent amount of flavors, toffee, milk chocolate, coffee notes and mild woody notes. Long toasty finish with some coffee lingering. Tastes better with every sip.

Gehbe (451) - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - MAY 21, 2017
Bottle. Deep brown to black with a medium light tan head. Fairly weak aroma of dark bread crust, wood, hints of smoke, bandages and chocolate. Roasty bitter taste. Light body, medium carbonation, somewhat waterry but quite drinkable.

Zwart met een mooie stabiele crème kraag. Typische smaak met veel moutbitter trekdrop wel erg vol voor 5% even wennen maar dan wel genieten

FireGlider (659) - Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 29, 2017
Black color with small fast disappearing brown head. Strong burnt malt aroma. Dominant bitter taste with some smokey and light malt sweetness in finish. Not amazed, burnt malt takes all other aromas if there are any.

Hrc_Cro (592) - Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 19, 2017
0.5l bottle. Black color with nice, but fast disappearing brown head. Aroma of coffee, hops, dark chocolate that gives it some sweetness and heavily roasted malt that also gives it smokey flavor. Taste is very bitter and little sweet, but that sweetness is overwhelmed by intense bitterness.
