0.5l bottle. Black color with nice, but fast disappearing brown head. Aroma of coffee, hops, dark chocolate that gives it some sweetness and heavily roasted malt that also gives it smokey flavor. Taste is very bitter and little sweet, but that sweetness is overwhelmed by intense bitterness.

Alebarasi (80) - Dobrova, SLOVENIA - APR 16, 2017
Opaque black color with medium beige head. Medium body and carbonation, no lacing. Aroma of nuts, roasted malts, milk, chocolate, dark fruits (plums), toffee and some cherry & pear. Slightly watery taste with hints of chocolate, espresso, caramel, nuts, and some hops & smoke. Dry coffee aftertaste. Well balanced beer and not complexed at all. Drinkable and enjoyable.

From bottle. Large off-white head, very dark brown, almost black colour, good lacing. Aroma: malts, grain, similar to lagers. Bitter taste, long bitter finish, medium body, lively. Seems to be a dark lager rather than a porter, but it is not bad, quite drinkable.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours almost jet black with a tan head. Nose is coffee, bitter dark chocolate, blackberries, roasted malt, touch of smoke and caramel. Get some bitterness and smoke straight away in the taste, then the roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and hops. Has a fairly bitter finish. Always liked this one, but don’t drink it too often anymore as there are much better Porters out there.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pours deep dark brown with fluffy stone coloured head, which leaves good lacing. Aroma toasted nuts, oats, slightly metallic. OK but not as smooth or interesting as others of its type.

Gorko je ovo. Ne gorko kao što su gorke američke ipe ili kao što je gorak tonik - nego nekako gorko na pelin, biber, luk. To je valjda zbog ovog engleskog hmelja - target. Nema nekih posebnih aroma - standardno dim i kafa. Nije ni nekog posebno interesantnog tijela - jedino eto ta gorčina. Od početka pa do kraja i duže - gorko u pičku materinu.

Dark color. Medium carbonation. Fruity and roasted aroma. A candy-like notes, like dried fruits, toffee. Starts a little sweet and finished quite bitter and hoppy with clear roasted notes. Not so much of the typical chocolate and coffee tones. A bit more like toast. It was good, but not special.
