Demise (57) - Wellington, - OCT 30, 2009
Pours black with ruby edging and a tan head. Strong chocolate aromas, with dark malt and a touch of coffee. Tastes incredibly dark and rich - dark roasted malt, a little burnt, rich coffee flavours and a hint of dark chocolate. A bitter finish, a little fizzy on the palate but very smooth otherwise. Nice, very nice.

AWS9 (752) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2018
Bottle. Decent dark pour with airy/foamy head. Oats and sugary malts in the nose. Bit oily body. Mild roasted finish. Seems to lack the character of a more well-crafted porter, and the finish is disappointingly thin. Meh.

2017-12-31. Black body, moderate brown head fades. 3+ Aroma has a dry mineral quality to it, light dusty roast. Flavour is similar, dry overall, lightly toasty roast, hint of treacle and mild fruit English malt character. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Okay, a but thin overall. 6/3/6-7/3/13-14 Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto.

Pour beautifully with a lovely off white head, very tasty with hints of caramel, very smooth but a bit strong just one bottle was enough.

Bottle at Guinness pub Ljubljana. Well rounded, drinkability as expected, a bit more tar notes than coffee, some more alcohol notes than expected at this abv level.

Bottle. To a full belly, a heavy purse, and a light heart. Chocolatey, coffee-ey, yummy.

God og spændende porten. Dejlig fyldig øl, med tilpas sødme og bitterhed. Rimelig frisk
