2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Insipid mid brown. Light aroma of and red grapes. Taste is bittersweet and unbalanced. Not unpleasant, but the astringent finish is jarring. Not quite sure what Wychwood are trying to do here. A passable but unremarkable basic bitter.
Cask at The Spread Eagle, Gailey Staffs. (Marstons Pub).
Poured a clear copper gold colour with off white head. Nose is malts, dark fruits. Taste is much the same, bit bland but ok. StueyD (1582) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2015
A mid copper brown coloured beer with a thickish white head. A biscuity malt aroma to start then there is a background spicy hoppiness. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a dry, biscuity and caramel malt flavour, which is followed by a mild bitter hop flavour. The bitterness takes the lead in the finish. Cask @ The Limes, Fakenham. mr_h (5434) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - AUG 10, 2015

On cask at Pollards, Bishop Auckland. Pours chestnut brown with tan head. Dark fruits still push through even though the beer was served a little too cold. Pleasant enough. edsspoon (894) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 15, 2014
Cask - chestnut brown with a creamy light brown head. Good retention, good lacing. Aroma of fruit and grass. Taste of grass, earth and some light fruits with light bitterness to end. Some roasty and chocolatey hints. Medium oily body. Incredibly bland and uninteresting. dogbomb (1216) - ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2014
Cask. Dark tea brown ale with a thick dark cream head. Nose is malts with a touch of oak. Taste is nutty, salty and malty. Slight alcohol heat. Tasty, but "normal". Beese (2671) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2013
Cask at Malloys, Watford on 11 September 2013. Poured a clear amber colour with a medium, dense white head. Attractive looking pint, well kept. Malt forward aroma with hints of apple and floral hop. Malt flavours follow with some cooked fruit sweetness and brown sugar. Palate is a bit like stewed fruit, hop resin and toffee. BlackHaddock (7235) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2013
Hand-pulled pint at The Falcon Inn, Woore, Shropshire on 28 Sep 2013.
Amber/brown and fruity: full head that stayed.
The beer had a soft, orchard aroma and taste, sweeter more than bitter with hints of apples and pears within the mixed bag of flavours. Pleasant enough, but without testing your taste buds or nasal organs too greatly.
OK and in good condition.
