Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Definitivt inte oäven, även om smaken lämnar en del att önska. Något späd och vattnig, och lyckas inte helt leva upp till förväntningarna. Likväl är det en agreabel/lättdrucken öl som förnöjer.

Hops and malts in the scent but fairly weak. Taste a bit watery with more hops then anything else. Same bitter tart Wychwood hops as in all of their beers. Slight reddish tinge, with a weak head. Not bad, more complex then most wychwood but not by much.

Hay, bread and hops in the aroma. Clear golden looking with a white head. Medium sweet and quite bitter tasting, Light body with a medium carbonation. Overall an OK bitter.

Good but not great. Pour is hazy yellow to golden with a medium white head. Aroma is like a flat larger. Flavor is malts, bread and bitter hops. Leaves the plate with a flat feel.

Poured a clear amber with a thin white head. The nose wasn’t strong, but I could still pick up aromas of raisin, grain and cut grass. The taste showed malt, a little spice and citrus, with a light apple juice note. Creamy palate but a short finish. Not too bad.

Tasted 19/01/2007. 500ml bottle from Regionals, courtesy of Joe. Slightly hazy rose gold, with very little head. Caramel, floral esters and peppery herbal hops on the nose. A little sulphur and hop phenols too. Sweet caramel, low carbonation, firm herbal bitterness and a little spice and sulphur at the end. Fullish mouthfeel. Reasonably drinkable beer but a little sulphur and hop phenols drag the beer down. Unrefined.

500ml Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium amber with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that reduced to a thick film with a medium collar and good streaky lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt, floral hops and a mild sweet yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (orange) and a mild fruity ester. The taste was light sweet and malty with a mild hint of caramel throughout and a light hoppy citrus bitterness towards the end. The flavor was short lived, with pretty much all flavor disappearing rather quickly. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a somewhat moderate carbonation. Overall this brew does offer a good drinkability, but is kind of light in flavor...

The aroma is full of hops, butter and metallic notes are detected. The color is golden and honeylike. The taste is full of hops, metallic notes and butter. Not impressing at all!

Clean light amber colour, small white head. Aroma of malt, grassy hops, some citrus and grain, biscuits. Dry sweet taste with light bitterness in finish. Thin body and average carbonation. Not bad.
