Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Yellow, cloudy, with white creamy head, that dosnt last. very mild sour fruit in the aroma. Mild taste malt, fruit metalic bitterness, The aftertaste grows little as you drink more. High in carbon.

I wasn’t too sure what to think of this one. Poured a hazy copper with a small, off-white, bubbly head. A hint of caramel in the smell. Tasted sweet and bitter. Nothing to write home about but a lot better than some of the singles I’ve been buying lately.

wilderthanyou (758) - Guelph, CANADA - FEB 19, 2007
Pours a piss yellow colour, with a short lived frothy head that bubbles down to a thin white film and white ring. Aroma of wet grass and grains. Flavour isn’t super interesting, malty flavors up front, give way to a toasted bread sort of flavor, with a hoppy mildly bitter finish. Nothing really complex, but not bad. This beer doesn’t really do anything wrong, it just lacks any sort of individuality.

bottle: pours a golden orange hue witha small white head, some lacing. aroma of sweet candy malt, some caramel fades in also. small amount of toastd grain. light flaoral hops. flavour is a soft bitter adn toasted grain. some nice sweet malts in the back also. finishes with come more bitter earthy hops.very good

ERB92 (739) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 19, 2013
Hay, bread and hops in the aroma. Clear golden looking with a white head. Medium sweet and quite bitter tasting, Light body with a medium carbonation. Overall an OK bitter.

hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2005
Pale hazy yellow. Thick white head, doesn´t last very long though. Citric, hoppy nose. Spicy flavour. Acidic, chemical taste. Fruity. Great bitterness. Refreshing with segments of herbs and yeast. Medium to full bodied.

50cl bottle, "Circlemaster". Slightly hazy, pale golden colour, small white head disappears quickly, minimal lacing. Intense aroma of apples and malt, some hops. Hoppy, sour citrus notes and bitterness dominate at first, but the finish is slightly sweet, with a wee touch of banana lurking through. The sour-and-sweet character makes Circlemaster a very refreshing pale ale (a premium esb it is NOT), though I’d marginally prefer the same company’s WychCraft blonde.

shorlin (721) - St. John’s, Newfoundland, CANADA - OCT 4, 2013
Aroma is a bit unpleasant at first. Some grassiness, but my first impression was cat fur (not kidding). Mellows out a bit with some maltiness, but not really good. Colour is standard amber, bit of a head that leaves some residual foam. Not much lace. Taste is non-existent at first, then changing to bad. Not bitter, but astringent. This is really not a good beer.

terrybail (704) - London, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2014
bottle from the LCBO Pours a medium pale orangey yellow Better then most macro beers but only average overall I think this is a Golden ale and not an ESB
