Fresh off his cart is No.4. It’s an unpasteurised shimmering blonde concoction of fruits. Instant refreshment with an insanely fragrant aroma. No.4 is the first of the good DR’s elixirs to emerge from his apothecary. We expect more brews to follow from this enigmatic character.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stall at Whitney Food Festival. A golden brew with a middling white head. Crystal clear with a light sparkle. A little biscuit on the nose, then mild grass and lemon in the mouth. Refreshing and easy to drink, pretty much ticks the boxes for the style. It’s not going to blow your socks off, but it’s fine, it does the job. Much better than I expected given the stupid name. I mean, come on guys, Dr Thirsty? Get a new marketing department for crying out loud!

Lightly sweet nose with a touch of noble hop pepperiness. Body has crisp bitterness over a thinnish blond bitter. Ok but dull.

Butelka 500ml . Zloty kolor. Piana biala, wysoka niestety opada szybko. Cytrusowe rzeskie nuty w aromacie podparte ciastkami. W smaku podobnie lecz wiecej goryczki na jezyku . Wyczuwalne cytrusy, chmiele ciastka, trawa.

50cl bottle. Poured light golden, thick white head. Nice crispy, citrusy hoppy aroma, some caramel toffee notes as well. Flavor similar, citrus hops, more toffee notes here, mild harshness. Dry finish. Paired well with the salmon I ate. Nice and refreshing, albeit quite thin bodied golden ale.

Copenhagen 2/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. A frothing drunk with high hat and pitcher on the label. I presume it is the infamous Dr. Thirsty. Very frothy upon opening, so we get off with a bad start. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with white head. Settles as very thin almost transparent layer of foam. Aroma is nicely balanced between sweet caramel and tart fruit. Slightly sharp notes without being unpleasant. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is medium sweet forllowed by pronounced dry bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingering. Dry finish - that almost leaves you thirsty. Maybe for another Dr. Thirsty’s. A little thin - but nicely bitter.

Bottle at home. A very appealing ale that could go the distance. Not a complex one.

Hazy golden color with small white head. Butterscotch and malty aroma with some herbal notes. Bitter taste with some sweetness. Medium body, long lasting aftertaste. Not bad.

Butterscotch, bread and bubblegum nose; bittersweet taste; sherbert lemon palate. Clean, light & refreshing.

Bottle at home light amber with a thin white head with a citrus and hoppy taste leaving a very bitter citrus aftertaste a bit to much for me.
