Back off it’s Ginger Beard, he’s a fiery character and his beer is no different. This amber ale is infused with fiery root ginger to deliver a spicy finish with a bit of bite. Try it if you dare!

Poured a clear, sparkling amber. Minimal head. Dissipated to nothing quickly. Very strong ginger aroma. Strong, Ginger root flavour. Slightly harsh, chemical tinge. Best comparison would be Vernor’s with extra ginger and vodka.

Sweet aroma, spicy taste. Ginger kick is not too strong, although taste is quite pronounced. Great choice for cold autumn or winter evenings.

Aroma of non-alcoholic ginger beer and lemonade. Sweet taste with a little malt backbone and a ginger burn in the aftertaste. Definitely tastes different than regularl non-alcoholic ginger beer, not so bad overall.

Slightly hazy amber. This one has been sitting around at the back of my stock for a LONG time. Smells like heavy ginger. Taste is overly sweet, with a hint of ginger burn. A bit herby. Blerghhhh..

0.5l bottle. Light amber color with disappearing white head. Aroma is spicy with prounced ginger notes. Taste is sweet with some spicy notes. Some ginger in the finish. Overall it's fine beer.

Reviews based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch B7035. AROMA: medium ginger aroma with a medium-high malty-sweet background. APPEARANCE: dark gold color and clear. medium-low ivory head with average retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with initial medium ginger flavor, followed by a sweet background. low bitterness with a medium-low fiery palate balanced by the sweetness. finishes medium-low ginger hot and semi-sweet. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a ginger beer that seems sweet at first but evolves into a balanced brew.

Kauge (2126) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 9, 2017
Bottle. Was rather bland, very meek ginger, too sweet and a bit too watery on the palate, overall more like ginger lemonade than beer with ginger.

PapaCanard (177) - SWITZERLAND - AUG 29, 2017

Warka 8.08.2017
