Standard English brewery fare: light, easy to drink, nothing exceptional. Solid easy drinker. "New" Label art is pretty badass.

Pours clear light ruby with an off white head. Nose is malty, nutty and some lemon. Light watery mouth feel. Taste is a classic bitter, toffee, nutty and lemon. Nothing special here, but drinkable.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2017 Last time I had this it the smell and taste reminded me of used kitty litter. Had it again in a selection box of Wychwood Ales and much better this time. Went from 2.3 to a 3. I guess some batches may be suspect.

Offerte par Pills & Vivi. 7 mois avant DLC. Ambrée, petite mousse carbo faible. Arôme malt grillé. Malt grillé en bouche, léger houblonnage. Trop légère, un peu aqueuse. Rien de spécial.

might seem a bit cheap to compare it to the brewery's other offerings however this is very reminiscent of the bottled hobgoblin ale, but with some of the alcoholic "bite" taken out; goliath is a lot smoother and maltier, with a biscuit base that makes it even, although less darker than the goblin. the slightly lower ABV makes it easier to drink too. overall, a decent real ale, would love to try it on tap/cask/keg if the opportunity ever arose.

Bottle, pours orange tinged brown with a fast-settling head and light aromas of toasted orange and caramel. Sweetish malt with a toasty and spicy bitter edge. A decent bitter.
