2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled ; Devon ; UK ; Malty, caramel, fruit and herbal aroma ; Golden-orange color with smaller head ; Medium sweet and bitter taste ; Medium body ; Not bad.
might seem a bit cheap to compare it to the brewery's other offerings however this is very reminiscent of the bottled hobgoblin ale, but with some of the alcoholic "bite" taken out; goliath is a lot smoother and maltier, with a biscuit base that makes it even, although less darker than the goblin. the slightly lower ABV makes it easier to drink too. overall, a decent real ale, would love to try it on tap/cask/keg if the opportunity ever arose. dimeon (363) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - AUG 20, 2017

It was a ruby bitter and that was about it. Drinkable, tasty, but immedialtely forgettable. There is not much more to say! FireGlider (679) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JAN 23, 2017
Clear amber color with small white head. Malty aroma. Bitter taste with sweet malty aftertaste. Light body. Drinkable. SamVimes21 (544) - - JAN 2, 2017
Bottle at home amber with a thin white head that didn’t last long with a malty, caramel and slightly nuttiness taste, which leaves a slightly bitter malty aftertaste not what I expected . CanCrusher (1104) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 18, 2016
Bottle 0,50L. Clear orange color with small, frothy, off-white head, that dissipate in a minute. Malty aroma with some tea notes, also herbal and grassy. Taste starts light bitter, become light sour for a moment with some light, fruity notes and finish light bitter. Lighter on body, watery and bored. AleRider78 (1413) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 3, 2016
Pours a foamy off white head and has a slightly dull dark copper appearance. Lacing is good. Mild grainy and bready malt aromas with spiced hops. Has earthy and herbal type hop flavours, somewhat sweet and has a slight bitterness. Notes of toffee and nuts as well. Pretty faint citrus notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied with fairly weak carbonation but has a nice mouthwarming sensation. Not too bad, easy drinking but not the best from Wychwood.
