Traditionally Crafted Legendary Ruby Beer.
Hobgoblin is strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.
The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character.

500 ml can. Deep nutty color with a creamy off white head. Lovely lacing. Taste is malty bitter with a light spice and hop finish.

Bit more clear mahogany than ruby but ruby notes are there and they are visible depending on light. Light brown frothy head, medium dense, bit rocky, sticks to sides and gives some lacing well. Ok looks. Aroma is earthy and semisweet with brown bread, raisins, mild aroma. Ok but not really that inviting. Medium body, sweetish with bit syrupy nature, overripe dark fruits, bit thin almost watery feel, low carbonation makes it more evident, medium long malty finish, overripe apple in finish also. Decent but bit simple and not those tasty flavors that work even when not in a nuanced beer which is the case here.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2016 L: Clear brown, 3-4 fingers tall thick beige head that doesn’t reduce much. S: Smells more like lager. A bit malty, a bit hoppy, dried fruits. T: Nice, the same as smell. Dry and slightly bitter finish (35 IBU I think). А: Light-bodied, low carbonation.

Can. Pours clear dark ruby with a nice head. Aroma is malts, burnt sugar, toffee and caramel. Taste is grains, barley, dark fruits.

Cask at The Linen Weaver. Deep ruby with an off-white head. Malt and caramel aroma. Flavour has some dark fruits. Pretty light.

Punktabzug für sehr schwachen Schaum. Direkt nach dem Zapfen verschwunden. Im Aroma fruchtiger Hopfen und Karamell. Im Geschmack Punktabzug weil wässrig. Wenig Körper. Ansonsten viel Karamell, sehr fruchtig und blumig. Aber nichts besonderes.
