Cask at Beefeater in Portsmouth - too light of a beer for my tastes, but has good roasted complexity maupie (1071) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2011
After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear brown color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a roasted malty touch . This beer smells malty. nathan30533 (1020) - Clifton, Ohio, USA - DEC 13, 2009

Smells of chocolate and fruity vanilla. Almost see through but very dark brown in colour. Clean and flat on the tongue. Really pleasant tasting.

On tap at the Shakespeare, Coventry. I prefer this from a bottle, maybe needed to be warmer. Reddish, little aroma, taste OK with plums and caramel but not enough of it. MrWalker (926) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 7, 2005
Cask @ Oxford Beer Festival, UK Backlog 23 Oct 2004
At 5%. Decent but not more. A bit harsh. Tried it many times through the years, but its not my cup of...pint.
