Deep ruby red with a light tan head. Malt nose with some slight floral hints. In the mouth, nice and solid maltiness throughout, peppered with light grasses, a little spice, some boiled fruits. R4N5H (1297) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2015
Draught pint, served from a cask at The Sir Christopher Hatton, Chancery Lane on 26/02/15. Ruby reddish brown colour with a small off-white head which quickly disappears. Medium bodied with very little to no carbonation. Aroma of caramel, malt and fruit. Light bitter taste, but heavy in sweet fruit. Wouldn?t want to drink more t hand one. bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2008
Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. Dark chestnut with lifeless head. Notes of toffee and caramel with understated earthy hop bitterness. I’ve never rated Wychwood much and this won’t improve things. thepegjett (1281) - Cambridge (via Winnipeg), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2011

Pint at The Crown Rivers JDW at Heathrow. Dark brown with a touch of red. Largish head. BeardedAvenger (1116) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2016
On tap at The Golden Grove, Chertsey. 17/07/16. Hadn’t had this in years, but was always a favourite when I like a pint but had not really got in to beer. Little aroma. Ruby brown, as to be expected. May have been the barmaid but, as per the Gold, only a whisp of head. Fruity and sweet. Slight hint of bitterness. Pretty light in body and no carbonation. Not a challenging beer, however this at least makes it easy drink. maupie (1103) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2011
After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear brown color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a roasted malty touch . This beer smells malty.
