Traditionally Crafted Legendary Ruby Beer.
Hobgoblin is strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.
The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character.

What's a nice bitter like you doing in a pub like this? Truly I am getting into bitters when I drink this beer and like the refreshing taste. I was expecting a monster with bitter complexity. Yet the Hobgoblin combines both bitterness and drinkability.

On tap @Medina Škrinja, Varaždin. Deep ruby pour, one finger off-white head. Soapy, medium retention. Thick lacing on the glass. Nose subtly herbal, heavily malty, lots of caramel notes. Medium body, medium carbonation. Texture is a bit on the watery side. Quite sweet taste, not cloying, tho. Nicely balanced. Aroma heavy on the malt, lots of caramel and toffee, bready notes, brown sugar. Herbal aftertaste. A bit sticky. Mild hop bitterness towards the finish. Overall, well executed bitter. A bit on the sweet side but still quite nice.

dark, rich and warming. seems a lot thicker than the bottled counterpart, but where it lacks in ABV it makes up for in smoothness and subtler flavour.

Kolor ciemnomiedziany, przejrzysty. Piana kremowa, gęsta i zawiesista. Doskonale krążkuje na szkle i długo się utrzymuje na powierzchni. W aromacie klasyka stylu: karmel, ciemny chleb, lekkie toffi. W smaku do bólu słodowe z karmelem, biszkoptami i chlebem. Goryczka dość długa, nieprzyjemny posmak w ustach. Umiarkowana tekstura. Słabe, bardzo słabe, jeden z najgorszych Bitterów jakie piłem z pompy :/

4.5% alk. Točena piva probana u Samoboru. Iako nije posebno jaka ima pun okus, fino se osjeća njezina gustoća. Jako dobra piva. Lijep primjerak tipične engleske pive.

Sigmund (8024) - Tau, NORWAY - MAR 29, 2017
Cask pint at Slain’s Castle, Aberdeen. Ruby colour, creamy off-white to beige head. Malty aroma and flavour with notes of toffee and caramel, some nutty notes too.
