Birra dal color rubino. Schiuma bianca con venature rosse, fine e persistenze. All’olfatto, cioccolato, caramello e malto tostato. Al palato mediamente corposa con note già riproposte all’olfatto. Nel finale rimane lievemente amara. Birra particolare ma niente di eclatante.

Dark redbrown amber beer pours very little white head. Aroma is malty and sour fruits. Taste is mild sweet, sour malt. Aftertaste slightly bitter. QUite low carbonation. Descent ESB.

En bouteille. Couleur ruby, limpide, fine mousse beige.

Dark brown pour, red hue when held in light. Fizzy head, nice retention. Aroma is very sweet; figgy malt, toffee, brown sugar - prominent port wine character that really elevates this. Unfortunately the taste isn’t up to the same level - nutty profile; sugar, cherry, fig, at the start. Boozy, dry and a bit astringent in the finish. There’s complexity there, unfortunately a few of the layers aren’t all that pleasant. Overall, there are enough positive qualities to recommend once or twice.

Fin humlet, men nu mest smag fra malten der næsten er noget brød over det som i tyske øl.

Almost clear dark amber color with big thick brown head, shame it fades too fast. Creamy malt aroma with hops and some dried fruit notes. Taste is sweet and dry with some light bitterness. Light to medium body.

Frothy sandy coloured head stayed on a dark oak coloured still body. Medium body. Creamy on the palate. Cloying. Malt, plum & demerara sugar aroma. Dark fruit, malt, sugar & grape with hint of smoke.

Can from Sainsburys. This beer is so much better than I found from the can, just found it deeply unpleasant. Confirms my long held suspicion of canned ales.

Clear dark amber, small beige head. Malty, hoppy aroma. Bitter and malty flavour, sweet caramely notes.
